Eureka - Who IS the mysterious Mary Perkins?
S.A.R.A.H. has her own Twitter site now:

And just posted something mysterious:
Security sensors have detected an alert concerning a Mary Perkins. If you have information regarding her whereabouts, call 202-640-3864
And at the Eureka Unscripted site:
Their Aug. 15 update includes:
Oh. And if anyone has information on Mary Perkins, please call the number on the right. The Department of Defense has identified her as a “person of interest” and wants any traces of her whereabouts reported immediately.
WANTED BY THE D.O.D: MARY PERKINS
Have information on her whereabouts? Call us at: (202) 640-3864
AND...
What we CAN tell you about the back thirteen is…
Look for Colin Ferguson (Sheriff Jack Carter) and Joe Morton (Henry Deacon) to DIRECT episodes. (Colin is already up for Episode 310 which he’ll be shooting in September.) Also, look for a special episode in which Deputy Jo Lupo gets to be “Sheriff for a Day.” Too bad she picked the wrong day… And how about Eureka in the Old West? Heh. Well after exploding dogs, we have to up the ante somehow!
****
The phone number is a disconnected number in Washington, D.C.

The phone number is live! I got a recording reading off a number I transcribed as 12339554891. I'm bad with numbers, tho.
There appears to be a NZ Motocross champion named Mary Perkins who has no apparent relation to the program.

SPOILERY
Is anyone else unhappy with the new baby announcement on Eureka? If they can't kill off a character then they get someone pregnant, again. Eureka's scientists and doctors are supposed to be geniuses, yet they don't know how to use condoms? And what could be less appealing than a love interest who's engorged with another man's baby? This isn't a sappy Nora Roberts novel, it's a fun sci-tech show where things explode and hilarity ensues. There is nothing funny about screaming crying babies, morning sickness and swollen ankles. I thought that Jack and Allison would get back to being Nick and Nora, Scully and Mulder, Lois and Clark. But instead we are getting a Desperate Housewife and Andy Griffith.

Well, according to the Eureka writers, Salli Richardson is pregnant in real life so they had to do something. Their first thought was to have Lexi twins tranferred into Allison's womb. I don't know that it's a Jump the Shark moment because that was the central premise on the Dead Zone. Walt was raising Johnny's baby because he was in a coma and they had to deal with that. Not quite the same thing because Stark is allegedly dead but it is similar. It's probably going to make next season real fun, plus whatever other suprises they have in store for us.
