dancing contest vs popularity contest

It would be nice if this show was strictly based on dancing talent and not popularity. I really like the program but feel the fate of the contestants should not be left in the hands of the viewing public because obviously they are idiots when it comes to judging. Case in point: when Sabrina was voted off a couple of yrs ago and in my opinion, was the best contestant on the show ever. And when dancers like Cloris get past the first show, what is there to say? I rest my case.

I've been a fan from the first season, but my work schedule makes me late tuning in. What are the changes the judges refer to, frequently? Seems as though there is more stress when the contestants and pros don't know the order of performance...

It most definitely is a popuarity contest. Who gels best with the audience wins. Not necessarily the most talented.

This is the worst season for DWTS - all because of Cloris Leachman. She CAN NOT dance; looks and acts like she's drunk or drugged during the show and I don't think she's one bit funny. She's always butting into someone else's time. Last night, she butted in when the young children were being interviewed. She's a real pain in the a**. She should have been the first one voted off. From now on, as soon as the old bat begins her routine, I'm switching channels til she's done. Ugh!
