Read While one disappoints another exceeds expectations
As many people all over the blog world have already expressed disappointment in the direction Ghost Whisperer is taking. I cannot believe they killed Jim. And if the post from the blog "Random Thoughts From Afar..." is true it doesnt like Jim is coming back in his old human form.

But while GW is rather disappointing in this story line change I have to say that I love where LIFE is going. I think its a great show to begin with and I really like seeing the dynamic between Crews and Rachel. Another show that I never seem to have time to watch but that is good clean humor and is entertaining is The Big Band Theory. I really hope this show continues. And of course, Criminal Minds is a favorite of mine. I am excited to see how JJ's replacement will impact the show and how her (presumed) return will work out.

There are many other shows that I could use as examples because, as my parents continually remind me, I watch WAY to much television. But instead of me listing my favorites and those that are starting to disappoint me I thought it would be interesting to see what others think.

So my question to you is: What shows are disappointing you and which are exceeding your expectations?
Read TGIF: Thank God It's Fall!
I have been very patient. Ok, to be honest hardly patient at all in my anticipation for the upcoming fall premieres of my favorite shows. I cannot wait to see who was injured on Criminal Minds, how Mer/Der hold up, what happens to Zach on Bones, who Lucas calls on OTH, how the Walkers are holding up on Brothers and Sisters and several others. Repeats and new shows in the summer just can't compare. It's going to be an exciting September and October.

HAPPY VIEWING!
Read HELP! Criminal Minds Finale!
OH MY GOSH! I just watched the Criminal Minds Finale (LoFi). Thank god for DVR. For anyone who watched it you know of the INSANE ending if you haven't seen it and are planning on it stop reading now.

BUT... has anyone heard anything about a character leaving the show?! I havent... I sat and looked at every freakin SUV in the closing sequence (replayed about 5 times) to try to catch a clue of who's car that was. ANY insights or news would be greatly appreciated. I do not think I can make it until September to find out what happens.

I dont even think I can blog about the episode... I am so overwhelmed!

After a two hour season finale the final moments of the show flashed forward five years. A jump in time was an exciting prospect and something that has been discussed in the TvGuide community. I wasn't sure how much I would like it but wanted to keep an open mind. But I must admit I am not so sure I liked where the characters are at five years later. Perhaps a smaller gap would have been easier for me. Some of it seemed unrealistic to me (granted many things that happen on this show aren't 100% realistic).

They have a lot to explain when the next season starts: Gaby's transformation to mom of 2, Bree has a published cookbook and Andrew is her assistant (?), Susan is with a new man, and Lynette's twins are delinquents. I am not sure how they are going to explain Gaby's transformation, and how Bree published a book and forgave Orson? What happened to Mike, and how did Susan meet and presumably marry a new man? My biggest frustration is Lynette, I think that the show lays enough on this character, and she deserves a break.

I do want to point out that this season finale had some great moments. I loved Tom and Lynette talking to Bob and Lee (is that the characters names?); I had tears in my eyes listening to what Tom was saying about choosing a partner. He and Lynette deserve some happiness. I enjoyed how the bad Kayla storyline ended, I thought it worked. I am just glad crazy Kayla is out of the home. Also I really liked that all the women came together to help Katherine who earlier in the episode they were bad-mouthing.

I will have to give the show a try when the new season start to see how this all plays out because it did have some good moments. What are your thoughts about the finale?
Read Favorite Shows From This Year :)
First, it has been forever since I have written anything. To be honest I have had time to read other blogs but not to write any. Luckily my main classes are over for the year, though my summer courses are in full swing. To my dismay one course I really need is from 5:30-9 Monday through Thursday so I have had to miss many shows. I am thankful that many shows are posted online or I would be missing the last few episodes of my favorite tv shows. Speaking of favorites...

Has anyone else found that this season (granted we had a long break) is full of excellent series, superb writing, and fantastic episodes?

Bones has been my favorite show for some time and with every new episode I am reminded why. Could you believe Monday's episode? I loved the American Idol references and former idols being on the show. Not to mention the ending, though I don’t want to give it away for those who have yet to see it. Criminal Minds, also a favorite, seems to be moving on nicely after the departure of a main character. If you don't watch this show already I recommend that you start especially if you are expecting it to be just another crime drama, because instead of focusing on the crime it focuses on the criminal. Those are two shows that I try not to miss episodes of.

Another favorite is Numbers, the character dynamics are entertaining and at the end of the episode I can’t believe how cool they make math seem. Grey's Anatomy is returning to the amazing show that it was before several bad plotlines and irritating moments. Brothers & Sisters is a good show about an American family (I have to admit I am now a Justin/Rebecca fan as the writers did a good job cleaning that up in the finale). Ghost Whisperer and NCIS, HIMYM, House and One Tree Hill are ones that if missed won’t kill me but I still really enjoy and try to watch as often as I can.

Looking back I am sure that I have missed a few, and my list seems longer than I thought it would be. I am looking forward to season finales and the anticipation that builds waiting for the next season. But just because these shows are coming to an end doesn’t mean my TV will be turned off, because summer brings The Closer and Army Wives.

In the crazy world that we live in it is nice to unwind at the end of the day with a great show. I don’t need to worry about a paper being due, getting enough sleep before work or how my brother’s day went at school. There are a plethora of shows to choose from, have you found that that there was a show this season that you just couldn’t miss?
Read An American Family: Brothers and Sisters
I think the first thing that needs to be pointed out is that this show has an amazing ensemble.

An American family. I loved the comments that Robert made to the radio host at the end. If anyone caught the wording I would love you to mention that because I think thats something we can all relate to. We are one big American family. We may not all agree on different issues, but we are all part of a single giant family. Robert and Kitty are so funny. While on the plane with an adviser the adviser asks Robert if there is any way he can get out of the wedding and Robert replied, "no I am totally in love with her." I really like that though they have problems they can still come together. I think its important to show that on television. People that come from different families can still love and accept each other unconditionally.

I was glad that Rebecca finally fessed up but I agree with Sarah that it was only to lessen her guilt. Can you believe Joe?! I really think Sarah would have tried to make it work. I love Tommy. It seems as though he is the glue that holds everyone together and its hard to see him struggling at home. I have a feeling that there is more going on with Julia then we are being shown. But we will see where that goes. The scene with the window, Kevin and Sarah was hilarious and a good break from some of the seriousness that the episode held.

Justin. I have to admit that I never thought of what it would be like when he came home if he was injured. I never thought about him not wanting to take the painkillers because of his former addiction. I am glad that the writers are following through on that.

Overall great episode. I know this isn't really a recap so if you didnt see the episode I recommend trying to catch it online. :)
Read How do you choose? Plus CM and LIFE!
If you are anything like me then you may have some issues... choosing what to watch that is. I have the unfortunate task of choosing only one show per time slot to watch. I am away at school and don't have a vcr to record anything.

Luckily some choices have been easier than others. For instance I gave Private Practice a shot but I have no qualms about missing it for Criminal Minds. Fridays I have a hard time choosing between Las Vegas which after last season's finale has me hooked, and Numbers which is a favorite. The last one I will mention is choosing between Chuck and HIMYM. Because let me tell you Chuck is hilarious! But HIMYM is also very funny... So that is my struggle.

Now as for last night... I was under the impression Mandy Pantinkin wouldnt be on Criminal Minds at all this season, but I am glad that they summed up his departure. And thank goodness Prentiss and Hotch aren't leaving the team... I didnt really think they would, but you never know. I am interested to see how they bring in Mandy's replacement and how the dynamics are within the team. I laughed at Strauss' reaction to the crime scene as the others are all able to hold their composure. She who wants to split the team has no idea what they really do.

I also watched LIFE last night, which is a really good show. I love the main actor (as he was in Band of Brothers which my dad plays constantly). I am glad his character seemed a little toned down this episode. When he was laying out the pictures and his partners asked what he was doing and he replies something like, "everything is here, except for what isn't" to which she responds "anybody know what that means?" I just love those exchanges. I find this show refreshing and as someone pointed out in another blog I think they are doing a good job maintaining a balance between the individual story arcs in the episodes (the cases) with the overall storyline of who set up Charlie. The interview type clips they play throughout help to understand some of the backstory which helps keep me interested. After reading someone's blog they mentioned that they thought it was surprising that Charlie's old partner seemed to extend an olive branch. But I am leery of that. Is he really trying to make peace with the past? Or is he part of some conspiracy or something to that affect? I just found that exchange between the two in the garage to be a little off, so I will have to wait and see what happens before deciding about his ex-partner.

Sorry this is such a mis-mash of stuff. Next time will be more organized I hope :)
Read Its SO Good To Be Back!
So the goal was to continue posting about my summer tv shows. But as a nanny that didnt happen so I have been counting down the days til my shows return.

Before I go further I will share my watch list for the fall (granted this is so far as I havent see pilots of some yet)... Cold Case, Chuck, Heroes, Bones, Criminal Minds, Life, Greys, Ghost Whisperer and Numbers. I may try to catch some online as well... seems that I wont be having too much time for my college reading (OH WELL!)

Sunday's premiere of Cold Case was awesome. I was slow and had no idea who was really guilty until the end. And I love the quote they used, "Evil triumphs when good men do nothing." It went so well, as did the music a la Nirvana, with the episode.

Monday was the night I checked out Chuck. And I have to say I am a huge fan after only one show. The lead is hilarious, storyline crazy but so awesome, and some of the lines were just hilarious. So that is a must see if you need another show to watch :) Heroes was also a good one. I am not sure how thrilled I am that there are new characters. I was just learning the old ones. But I love that Parkman and Mohinder are both taking care of Molly... the back and forth of Molly and Parkman are priceless. Bring the old Peter back is all I will say about that. And what is with the kid at Claire's new school. Anyone else think it was kinda creepy on the first day of school he goes to her house and stares in her window?

Tuesday... ah Tuesday... the return of Bones. My can't miss! If you havent watched this show, you should give it a try. Its comedy, drama, action, sci-fi, romance in one. The storylines are awesome, and the one liners that are thrown around are memorable. I love Angela and that she "told" Brennan what Brennan was thinking even though Brennan didnt realize it (follow me?). Angela tells Brennan something along the lines of "I will stop to let you catch up." It was just hilarious.

Tonight I plan on watching Criminal Minds and Life. Both of which look great.

Eventually I will possibly write blogs about certain episodes. Any suggestions on which show to write about? I am so glad to be back and to see what everyone else is watching!
Read Brothers & Sisters: Matriarchy (5/20/07)
What a season finale! I wasnt disappointed at all. I thought that the storylines ended well , questions were answered but yet I find myself wanting to learn more about the family as new storylines were alluded to. Since it would be impossible for me to recount the entire episode, as I was enjoying it too much to remember everything, I will just mention some of my highlights from the episode:

- "Major Weiner" and the discussion on how to pronounce his name, both at the call party and at the engagement party
- Kevin working in the pantry only to have Robert's brother come in claiming to be looking for a band-aid. Then Kevin says something to the effect of 'your not really looking for a bandaid were you? you were looking for me.'
- Robert's brother is a MINISTER! And we find out AFTER he made out with Kevin in the pantry!!!
- Rebecca opening up to Justin, even though it may not be what we want to hear we finally get a small idea of what really happened in Chicago.
- Let me preface this next one by saying I LOVE Wicked: Nora calling Kevin to ask for help and him informing her that she is seeing Wicked with Justin. Then Nora asks, "havent you seen that 5 times already"... he replies "6 actually".
- Justin's outings with family
- Rebecca telling Nora and Kitty about Justin leaving
- Nora and Kitty leaving the party to rush to the airport to see Justin off... them thinking he missed them only to have him walk over to them
- The entire goodbye scene at the airport (brought tears to my eyes... great way to end it)
- Nora running, fully clothed, into the pool after being called a wallflower by Major Weiner
- The entire Walker clan + following Nora into the pool (Sara, Tommy, Kitty, Robert, Saul, Rebecca, and Holly)

Some Questions:
- Was I the only one that picked up on the hinting (not to subtly) that Saul is Gay?
- Are we missing more to the story about Rebecca and her teacher? Especially about Chicago?
- Is the feuding between Nora and Holly really resolved?
- Where was Joe and Paige during the episode?
- Why doesnt Tommy seem more upset over losing his son?
- Will Justin return from Iraq?
I am sure there are many more excellent parts and the list is already too long. If you didnt see the finale I highly recommend that you watch it. I thought it was amazing. I cannot wait to see what the Walkers will do next!!!

What did you think of the episode? Will you watch next year?!
Read I could use a recap from Monday... can you help?
So I missed the season finale of How I Met Your Mother. I just started nannying and was unable to watch it. Could anyone help me out by giving me a recap? I would greatly appreciated it!!!
Read Anyone know if this is for sure?
So did I miss CBS' upfronts? I just read something on TVGUIDE.com that said 3 of my FAVORITE shows are being cancelled: Jericho, The Class and Close to Home. You can read about it here. While I know The Class was a big contender for not returning I am surprised that Jericho and Close to Home wouldnt return.

Who is watching some of the other junk that fills the airwaves while great shows get let go. Just because they arent hitting the 'perfect audience' doesnt mean there arent many fans of these shows. I hope that this is just gossip... then again I am sure we all will endure a little heart ache when all upfronts are announced.
Read Death of Another on Brothers & Sisters (5/13/07)
Another William has passed in the Walker family. Tommy and Julias twins were delivered prematurely and while Elizabeth did well, William was very ill (kidney and liver trouble). Tommy and Julia were forced to make a very difficult decision. I thought Nora's advice was good, it was something like, "I know I am not a good example of this, but there are some times when you need to not parent to be a good parent." So Tommy and Julia let life dictate how their children would turn out. And poor William passed away.

All in all I am still not sure how much I like this episode. There were parts that I really liked including: the
Senator taking Justin to the VA hospital, Kevin finally helping Kitty with the Senator's blackmailer, Kitty and the Senator officially getting engaged. But there were some low points too: one of the babies dying, Rebecca still being Rebecca, Joe and Sarah deciding to take a break, and Saul's talk with Tommy (just seemed a bit fake).

But I will still watch this show because I have become attached to the characters and their stories. I would like to hear more about what happened to Rebecca in Chicago since it has been eluded to on several occasions.

What were your thoughts on the episode? Are you ready for the season finale?
Read Fabulous Friday Viewings! 5/11/07
Lets just start out by saying it was a great night for CBS. Obviously I am bias because shows I like were on that channel tonight, and they were awesome! I know alot of people blog as a summary but I am just going to highlight some favorite moments from tonight.

Ghost Whisperer:
I have really liked the direction the show has taken. I like that there is a continuing story line that weaves the episodes together. I must admit the kids threw me for a loop. And lets be honest, Jay Mohr is a show stealer! He is so great on this show, he brings a tone that without him would really create a void in the show. So I really hope he stays. I am interested to see now what happens since the 5 signs have been fulfilled. How crazy was that when the kids saved Melinda? Was anyone expecting her to actually die and then come back to life? What happens now that she is ok? What part will the kids play? Who is her brother? Why was her father trying to turn her bad (it did seem that way, right?)?

Close to Home:
I am so glad that I started to watch this show regularly. I could not believe that Durkin and his lawyer were executed and was certainly not expecting Maureen to be the death we had been warned about. I was touched that Maureens father asked Annabeth to deliver the eulogy and thought the bar scene afterwards was terrific. Lets just all say how amazingly handsome is Jeffrey Pierce in his role as Matt? I especially love him and Annabeth together. During the standoff scence you could see the pain on both of their faces. And then when they were talking later he admitted that was the first time he had shot a suspect. "It would have bothered me more if I had missed or if anything happened to you." Oh man that was just to cute for words. I really hope he stays on the show and their relationship is given a chance. One last note, I thought the song choice at the end was spectacular. 'Hallelujah' is one of my favorites and it was a great version with amazing visuals to go with it. All in all this episode was one of my favorites.

Numbers:
I just enjoyed the show so much I dont really have anything to say. So instead for this I will leave you with some of my favorite lines from tonights episode:
- I'm an FBI dad! (Alan Epps)
- Oh yeah well I'd like to pitch for the Yankees (Don Epps)
- So if you've got anything to say, say it to her. (Don Epps)
- No just normal walking, have you never walked? (Charlie Epps)

Great night for CBS! What did you think?
Read Wednesday Night Viewing 5/9/07
So its been awhile since I have posted. I have been busy with finals and that sort of thing. But tonight was especially busy. I had 2 shows on that I wanted to watch at 7 & 8 and I had to watch LOST at 9. So I have to admit that I missed some shows that I am sure I will have to chat about later. But what I have caught up on for this fine Wednesday:

BONES:
Lets just say its about time. Yay! Not only are Angela and Hodgins getting married (and who else is excited to see both Angela and Bones' dads?) but Bones actually cooked for Booth. This is a big deal. Usually they just get chinese and are fighting the obvious sexual tension but tonight she cooked! I love to see the exchanges between Booth and Bones. When the radioactive specialist guy asked them how long they had been together I laughed, and thought why havent they realized by now that they obviously work so well together they should try dating. But back to Hodgins... how cute were the glow fish things. "Be my love" thats what he wanted, he realized that Angela the way she is is perfect for him. And that is what she was waiting to hear. All in all a great episode and I cannot wait for the season finale.

American Idol:
I would be lying if I said I didnt think LaKisha was going home. It was her time, and I think she knew it. But I do have to say, the BeeGees? Really? As a theme? I understand they were/are amazingly talented but dont you think thats a little bit too hard. They were a group, that harmonized... really high! I think that Jordin chose songs that fit her well. I also liked Melinda. Blake was ok. Thats enough about idol...

LOST:
I must say I really dont like this show. I get so confused. I think someone is good, but then the next episode they are bad, then a week later they are good again. I just cant keep up. The twists and turns drive me crazy. And I love it! I know, I know, I just said that I really dont like the show, but I HAVE to watch. I started watching it when it first aired and then for some reason I stopped watching. Eventually I started watching again and then I found out my Dad watched. So after an episode aired I would then call him with what I was thinking (who was really bad, what would happen next, are they really on an island, that sort of thing). Oh man... this show throws me for a loop every time.

As for tonights episode: So we are now to believe that Juliet is good and helping Jack to help save those on the beach? Why is Juliet really helping if she indeed is? Where did Claire and some of the other survivors go? Where are all the kids that the 'Others' took? Why did Richard not age at all? Why would Ben's daughter give Locke a gun? And Ben's just seems crazy! He was "talking" to an invisible friend who, in a very creepy scene, spoke to Locke? If 'Jacob' really was talking to Ben, why was he so upset that Locke heard his voice too? And was anyone else really expecting Locke to get shot, by Ben?! I am hoping Locke isnt really dead, isnt he supposed to be able to heal or something crazy like that? I really just have a ton of questions with answers that may remain a mystery for quite sometime.

Sad to say I recorded but have yet to watch tonight's Jericho and Criminal Minds. But I am very excited to watch them both. The previews looked great, and last weeks cliffhangers left me guessing. Especially on Jericho.

Sorry this was all over the place. I am home recouping and my mind is rather scattered. Next time this will be more organized and thought out :) HAPPY WATCHING!
Read American Idol 4/2/07
So if you havent seen tonights show and dont want to know what happened... you may not want to read this.

So I know that many of you are not Phil Stacey fans. But I have to say that I am very upset that he is gone. After last nights performance I just dont think he deserved to go. While at the beginning I didnt enjoy him, he is growing and has come into his own. I know he will do well in the future(I hope so at least).

Many will not be surprised to know that Chris was the second to go. I really liked him, but it was time for him to go. I was surprised to hear how good of friends he and Blake are. They on stage said they were 'best friends' and Chris admitted that he would go home for Blake. So sweet... they both said that they get to go on tour together. So that is a plus for them : ) How many people get to go on tour with their best friend.

I was surprised that Lakisha is still around. I think that she may be the next to go. As I think Jordin, Melinda and Blake may have a stronger following.

So tonight we said goodbye to Phil and Chris. But as we have seen people in the top six are able to make it in the music world. As long as they work hard, we just may see their faces again. Let's hope so!
