I hope everyone had a good holiday weekend. Mine was perfect. I did some socializing, some shopping, lots of TV watching and lots of cleaning. I went thru my pile of paperwork that has been haunting me for over a year now. I filed every single last piece of paper away. I found stuff in that pile from 2005, so it definitely needed to be done. I felt so good last night when I went to bed and knew what I had accomplished.
With regards to all that TV I watched, here it is.
Army Wives – Mothers & Daughters: This was the last new episode that aired. In this episode Roxy finally got the courage to take her GED and passed w/ flying colors, of course, which she couldn’t of done w/out Roland’s help. Roland was using his fine therapist skills to help a young man deal with death of his father, who was killed in combat. Denise confessed to Frank that she developed feelings for Getty, the doctor whose hand he saw her kiss while he (Getty) was lying in an ICU bed dying. They have decided to do whatever they need to do to make their marriage work. Claudia Joy’s mother comes for a visit and she finds out her mother left her father because he started gambling and now they are broke. Trevor is still having issues with pain from his shoulder injury and went to see a civilian doctor to get another pain med prescription since he ran out of the ones the military prescribed him 2 weeks ago. We will finally get a new episode this Sunday so don’t forget to tune in.
Law & Order: CI – Frame: I finally got around to watching the season finale. A lot happened in this episode unfortunately I didn’t understand most of it since I’m still new to this show and there seemed to be a lot of past story lines being tied up in this episode. I’m going to post a message on a L&O:CI message board and see if anyone can tell me what past episodes had Nicole, Frank and John Glover’s character in them so I can get caught up and understand that episode better.
Law & Order: CI – Watch: This is an older episode that I recorded one day during a L&O:CI marathon. Logan & Barek solve the murder of a prostitute who falls out of the air, she was in the wheel shaft of an airplane. The killers turned out to be a pair of cousins, played by Ethan Embrey (when did he get so chunky?) and Brad Renfro (RIP).
Law & Order: SVU – Desperate: This is an older episode that I recorded one day during a L&O:SVU marathon. Rob Estes played an abusive husband who killed his second wife after she left him and took his son w/her. The 6-year-old boy had witnessed the whole thing and ended up testifying against him.
Saving Grace – You Are My Partner: Very good “season” finale. I have to say, that opening scene when Ham got naked in front of all those people was a little shocking, even for him. He is really losing it. Instead of recapping the episode I would like to talk about the characters for a second. Has anyone noticed how much Ham slobbers? It’s a little distracting sometimes. I guess the actor really takes a bite out of his role. Also, I know all people are flawed in their own way but Ham & Grace have so many issues between them, both together and alone, that I’m a little worried about the people in Oklahoma City. If the police department in my city have people like them working there then I hope I never need their help.
Weeds – Head Cheese: Nancy has finally had enough and contacts that Detective to give him information on the tunnel. I guess she can handle pot smuggling but not guns and girls. The only other thing that happened of importance in this episode is that Maria found out that Doug is not her Knight in Shining Armor but a real A-hole instead.
Secret Life of American Teenager - Slice of Life: Looks like George will finally be going back to his family because Ashley can’t stand the humiliation of people finding out they might be poor.
Greek – Brothers & Sisters: Another show I didn’t think I would like but got totally sucked in.
Swingtown – Surprise! Trina’s pregnant! Roger got offered his dream job and it’s in Cincinatti but won’t go if Susan tells him to stay for her. It looks like Bruce still has the hots for Melinda at work and Susan is on to him. I wonder how all of this will play out in next week’s Season Finale?
Big Brother 10: If you watch you know what happened. I won’t recap it. I’ll just say that I was sorry to see Jerry win because I was hoping to see that alliance of 4 make it to the end.
I’m getting behind on my work so I’ll just list the rest of what I watched. Feel free to comment and I will definitely reply.
Everybody Hates Chris – 4 episodes S3 E9 – Everybody Hates the New Kid S3 E10 – Everybody Hates Kwanza S3 E11 – Everybody Hates the Port Authority S3 E12 – Everybody Hates Bad Boys
The Dead Zone – 4 episodes S6 E5 – Interred S6 E6 – Switch S6 E7 – Numb: I do want to comment on this episode. We finally see Sarah and Johnny get closer and they even share a kiss. S6 E8 – Outcome
Stargate: SG-1 – 2 Episodes S2 E18 – Serpent’s Song S2 E17 – Holiday: I have to mention that is episode was fun because Jack and Teal'C switched bodies.
Summer Showdown – 2 episodes. Living Room & Backyard House Hunters – several

Hi, everyone. I started typing this blog yesterday at work but never got the chance to finish it because I ended up being so busy. I hope everyone is having a nice holiday weekend so far. I know I am. Right now I’m at my sister’s place hanging out w/her after a day of shopping. I had to go find a dress for a wedding…and I was actually successful. Woohooo.
This is what I watched on Wednesday & Thursday night. I will do another blog on Tuesday w/ everything I watched over the weekend, and it will be a long one.
Saving Grace – Are You An Indian Princess? Wow, this was a great episode. Very emotional and heart wrenching. I definitely didn’t feel sorry for the monster, who set his own child on fire, when Grace threw him down the stairs. I think anyone would of done the same thing. I give her credit for showing restraint and not shooting him. I realized after watching this episode that it aired after that awful (not in quality but in subject matter) episode of The Closer. Man, I’m glad I didn’t watch those two episodes back-to-back, I would have been a mess! Back to the episode, Ham is really having a hard time of it and he ended up leaning on his wife, who he had left earlier this season. I think it was because Grace would not tell him she loves him too. I tell you, I wish I had the power over men like she does. The only power I have over men is making them run away as fast as they can! Oh, and how funny was it when Grace was trying to get into the shower with Earl? At first I felt a little uncomfortable, I’m not a prude by any means but even I have a line I won’t cross. But I should of known better, Earl was onto Grace and she was foiled.
Wipeout 8/26 – There is just three words why I enjoy this reality competition show so much, BIG RED BALLS! It doesn’t matter how many times I watch people bounce off of those big red balls into the water, it never ceases to make me laugh. Sometimes my side actually hurts after watching this show because I laugh so much.
Eureka – Show Me the Mummy: Another excellent episode. General Dynamics acquisitioned an ancient mummy and when they opened the sarcophagus it released a deadly virus that almost killed Fargo. But, of course, Carter saved the day and everything was fine, well except for the two people who were killed by the virus. But they were only guest stars so it’s no big surprise their number was up. Speaking of deaths, we got to see Nathan again in this episode after his heart-breaking demise. Of course, it was only a hologram but it still broke my heart to hear him say, “I will always love you, Alli and I will never leave you.” Excuse, I need to go get a tissue.
Project Runway – Fashion That Drives You: I’m so glad Leann won. She is starting to become my favorite. I have one question about his show. Or, to be more exact, about the contestants on this show. If they are all these great fashion designers then why do they all dress soooooo horribly? I mean, seriously, what is up with that? I noticed that in Season 1 with Jay. I loved his designs but it annoyed the crap out of me how he dressed.
Big Brother 10: Fantasic episode. So much fun to watch. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time. And I loved it when Julie informed Michelle that Dan is not a plant. I think when Ollie was evicted she was trying to get him to question that too so she could also give him the same news. We are now down to 5 people and the finale is two weeks from Tuesday.
Friends – 3 Episodes S3 E24 – The One with the Ultimate Fighting Champion: Pete wants to become the Ultimate Fighting Champion and he sucks at it but he won’t quit which upsets Monica and she breaks up with him. Goodbye, Pete, it was nice knowing ya. Pheobe sets Ross up on a date w/ Bonnie, her bald headed friend who is no longer bald and quite cute (played by Christine Taylor), which doesn’t please Rachel at all. We can see that there is still some unresolved feelings between Ross & Rachel.
S3 E25 – The One at the Beach: Season 3 Finale. The gang head out to the beach so Pheobe can find out some more details about her parents from an old friend of theirs. Ross & Rachel start flirting w/ each other, which confuses both of them and what makes it even more confusing is that Bonnie shows up at the beach too. Bonnie makes a comment about how she wishes she was bald again and Rachel encourages her to shave off all her hair. When Ross finds out he confronts her and they two share a passionate kiss, which is interrupted by Joey & Chandler. What is Ross to do? We are left with a cliff hanger by not knowing which bedroom goes into, his w/ Bonnie or in Rachel’s? One of things I love about this episode is the foreshadowing of what is to happen in the Season 4 finale between two characters. For those of you who have seen the series you know what I’m talking about. And for those who haven’t, I won’t say anything.
S4 E1 – The One with the Jellyfish: Season 4 Premiere. It starts up right where the finale left off, Ross in the hallway deciding which room to go into. He chooses, walks in and says, “Hi.” Turns out it was Rachel’s room but Bonnie was also in there having Rachel put lotion on her sunburned bald head. Bonnie leaves to go to her room and Ross and Rachel kiss again. But Ross stops the kiss and says he needs to go break-up w/ Bonnie, which he does. When he comes back Rachel hands him a letter she wrote and needs him to read before she can think about getting back together w/ him. It’s 5:30 am and Ross is tired and doesn’t finish reading the letter. When Rachel comes down later and asks him, “So, does it?” Ross isn’t sure how to answer but he says, “it does”, hoping that would be the right answer. Well, Ross finally gets the chance to read the letter and says, “it so DOES NOT!” Turns out Rachel wanted Ross to take full responsibility for everything that went wrong in their relationship and their break-up. On the advice of Chandler & Joey, Ross decides to let it go because he’s finally getting what he wants he’s back with Rachel. Well, later that day, after some “make-up nookie”, Rachel keeps going on and on about how happy she is Ross has taken full responsibility, which obviously angers Ross from the look on his face. Then we hear Ross shout those infamous words, “WE WERE ON A BREAK!” The exchange that happens next between Ross & Rachel is one of my favorites, especially when Ross says, “You had rambled on for 18 pages…. FRONT AND BACK!” So, we finally get the closure we need on the Ross & Rachel relationship…for now. (Personally, even though I sided with Rachel about the copy-girl incident, I still think it’s a little unfair of her to ask Ross to take full responsibility for everything that went wrong in their relationship and breakup.)
Everybody Hates Chris – 3 episodes: I don’t feel like reviewing these after all those other long reviews so I’ll just list what I watched. I'll just say that I enjoyed all the episodes. S3 E6 – Everybody Hates Bed-Stuy S3 E7 – Everybody Hates Houseguests S3 E8 – Everybody Hates Minimum Wage
House Hunters – 2 episodes
MOVIE P2 – Just your typical psycho-stalker thriller. Not a bad movie to help pass 1 hr and 38 minutes.

Escapism101 inspired me to write up my own list for what I’m going to watch this fall. I think I will have another full schedule this year. Thankfully, I can record up to 6 things at one time (2 DVR’s and 2 DVD recorders) so I should be okay. I’m really proud of myself at how well I stayed caught up on all my summer shows, which was approximately 20 shows. I even had time to watch a few shows on DVD.
So, are you ready for this list? It’s pretty big but don’t be scared because I’m a big girl and can handle it.
MONDAY 8:00: Big Bang Theory 8:30: How I Met Your Mother 9:00: Heroes 9:30: Samantha Who? (check out Worst Week) 10:00: Californication (check out My Own Worst Enemy)
TUESDAY 8:00: House, Biggest Loser, Lincoln Heights (I think this is the timeslot it will be in) (check out 90210 – can’t wait til Tuesday!) 9:00: Greek (check out Fringe, Privileged, The Mentalist*) 10:00: Eli Stone (adore this show), Law & Order: SVU
WEDNESDAY 8:00: Bones, America’s Next Top Model, Pushing Daisies, Old Christine 8:30: (check out Gary Unmarried) 9:00: Private Practice, Criminal Minds, Til Death (check out Stylista**) 9:30: (check out Do Not Disturb – but not hopeful) 10:00: Dirty Sexy Money, Lipstick Jungle
THURSDAY 8:00: Survivor, Ugly Betty 8:30: (check out Kath & Kim – but not hopeful) 9:00: Grey’s Anatomy, CSI, Supernatural 9:30: 30 Rock*** 10:00: ER (check out Life On Mars & Eleventh Hour)

SUNDAY 8:00: The Amazing Race (check out Valentine – but not hopeful) 9:00: Desperate Housewives, Dexter (check out True Blood & Easy Money – but not hopeful on EM) 10:00: Brothers & Sisters, Entourage
NOTES: I’ve been recording Cold Case for the last 3 seasons and saving them on DVD but I am way behind. But I will continue to record it again this season.
*The Mentalist – I saw a small preview for this and I wasn’t impressed.
**Stylista – I’m always willing to check out a new reality show.
***30 Rock - I used to watch My Name Is Earl & 30 Rock but got behind on both last season. If I can get caught up on DVD before they start up again then I will watch them this season but if not, I’ll just catch them on DVD later on.
So, there you go. Let’s take a count. I plan on watching 32 returning favorites and checking out 17 new shows, which most of those probably won’t stick or get canned right as I’m getting into them. (grrr)
I can’t wait to see everyone else’s lists.

Hi, everyone. This will be a short blog because I didn’t get the chance to watch that much in the last two days. I was actually busy for once doing stuff like chatting on the phone and going out shopping. But this is what I did get watched Monday and Tuesday.
MOVIE Atonement – I watched this Monday night. Since it was nominated for best picture I thought I would check it out. It was a pretty good movie and I enjoyed it. A little on the slow side but that’s usual for period dramas. It’s the 3rd movie I’ve seen w/ James McAvoy in a month’s time. He was also in Becoming Jane (found that extremely boring and slept thru most of it) and Penelope. Looks like he’s becoming the next Jude Law, where he will show up in everything.
L&O: CI – Last Rites 8/17: This was Chris Noth’s last performance as Det. Mike Logan. I’ve only been watching this show since it came back for the summer so I’m not that attached to his character. I know him better as Mr. Big than I do as Mike Logan. But for his last episode I would say this was a good one. A priest hears a dying man’s confession that he committed a crime that someone else went to jail for. The priest relays this information to Logan & Wheeler but because of his vows he can’t divulge the name of the person. This means L&W have to go back and re-investigate a 16-yr-old case. In the process of doing this they tick off an ambitious ADA who prosecuted the case at the start of her career. L&W do eventually discover the truth about who really committed the crime, which doesn’t please the ADA but she uses the information to her advantage to make herself look good in the eyes of the public. At the end of the episode Logan has a heated discussion with the priest and the priest tells him he’s “not connected to anything” and that he should walk away. In the last scene we see Logan tell the priest that he will take that under advisement and just walks out. So, I guess that’s all we get? Maybe at the start of next season we will get a better explanation of what happened when Jeff Goldblum joins the cast. That should be interesting.
The Closer – Sudden Death: Great acting by the whole cast in this episode. Very emotional to see how they all were affected by Det. Sanchez brother’s death. The last scene was like a punch in the gut when Julio broke down and starting crying and asking for forgiveness from Det. Lt. Provenza because he gave his brother, Oscar, the hat that was essentially the catalyst for getting him killed.
Big Brother 10: After so many boring episodes this one was totally refreshing and entertaining. And I have to say Dan is really smart. I’m totally rooting for him now. I can’t wait til Thursday to see how they all react to a double-eviction night.
Everybody Hates Chris – Season 3: I watch this show on DVD because it seems to conflict with too many other shows and I can’t fit it into my viewing schedule. I watched the following episodes from Disc 1 last night. Everybody Hates the Guidance Counselor: Chris Rock guest stars as the guidance counselor. Everybody Hates Caruso Everybody Hates Driving Everybody Hates Blackie Everybody Hates the Bachelor Pad
House Hunters – 1 episode Extreme Living – 1 episode
Ok, that’s everything. I work tonight so I won’t be watching much this evening. I will skip doing a blog tomorrow and just blog on Friday, like last week. Have a good day, everyone.

Hello, fellow TV Guide bloggers. How was everyone's weekend? I hope it was a good one. Mine wasn't the greatest. I am feeling a little under the weather and I had to work so that is never fun. But nonetheless, I was able to watch quite a few TV shows. So, here is what I watched....
Eureka – I Do Over: What an excellent episode. First, it was a time-loop episode, which I always love and second, we got to see Carter kiss Allison during one of his repeats. Granted, it didn’t amount to much but it was still nice to see. I won’t even attempt to try to explain the science behind what happened in this episode because, to be honest, most of it went over my head. Basically, Carter stepped into the working space of the guy who takes care of Time Maintenance at GD and got caught up in a time-loop with the same guy, who was about to be laid-off (but they used a fancier term that I can’t recall right now). Of course the guy knew he was about to be laid off so he was doing some wacky experiment, how everything gets screwed up in Eureka, and created this tear in the space-time continuum (I think). Unfortunately, this time-loop was causing things to go from bad to worse each time it happened, and this is where the science lost me. Carter was finally able to convince Nathan and Fargo what was going on, especially after they found that other guy burnt to a crisp, and they worked together to solve the problem. Now I’m not sure why but Nathan had to get into this tube-like room to try to solve the problem, and it was obvious from the serious looks between the three of them that it could mean he would die, or would definitely die. I wasn’t exactly sure. Now, I sort of already knew that maybe Stark would get killed in this episode from the promos so I was expected it to happen but what I wasn’t expecting was how hard it would hit me when it really did happen. I was still very saddened and even cried, which surprised me. I guess it was the sacrifice that Stark made and how he told Carter to take care of Allison, and the way he called him “Jack” for once, that totally hit me and made me bawl like a little girl. And then we had to see Jack break the news to Allison and I cried all over again. Such a good episode. I think I will have to record it when it repeats and watch it again.
Burn Notice – Rough Seas: Another great episode. It was so fun to see Michael play that wimpy type of character. I loved it.
Flashpoint – He Knows His Brother: Good episode. I found it kind of interesting that we had two teenage hostage situations in a row. I loved the end when Ed gave the father a hard time when he tried to get back in the house. HA!
Monk – Mr. Monk Falls in Love: Loved this episode. And I was so glad that Monk was right and she was not “the guy”. I actually solved this crime before Monk told us, “here is what happened”. As soon as Layla talked about her mother I knew what had happened.
Psych – There Might Be Blood: Cute episode. It was fun to find out a little more about Capt. Vick.
Mad Men – The Benefactor 8/10: I was sleepy while I watched this episode so I might of snoozed a little while watching it. All I remember is that a comedian was rude to the wife of the Utz potato-chip guy. Oh, and Don is such a pig, but what else is new?
L&O: CI – Neighborhood Watch 8/10: I never watched this show before but I started watching it when it came back for the summer w/ my roommate. It’s a decent show and I will continue to watch new episodes.
Big Brother 10 – Dan won HOH and true to the deal he made w/ Ollie, he didn’t put Ollie or Michelle on the block and nominated someone from his own alliance, Memphis. Personally, I would love to see Memphis go because I haven’t really cared for him since day one but I do like Dan now. I think Dan would be wise to stick w/ Renny & Keesha over Memphis because I think he would definitely win against either of those, I’m not sure if he would win against Memphis. But since this show is such a crap-shoot, you never know.
Friends – 4 episodes S3 E20 – The One with the Dollhouse: Such a cute episode w/ Phoebe’s cool and wacky dollhouse. S3 E21 – The One with the Chick & the Duck: Yay, Monica & Pete finally got together. So cute. And I loved the Chick and the Duck. The little fight that Chandler and Joey had like a married couple w/ kids was hilarious. S3 E22 – The One with the Screamer: We finally get to see (part of) Joey’s play. Hehehe Space ships, hehehe. And Ben Stiller guest starts as the screamer. S3 E23 – The One with Ross’ Thing: Monica thinks Pete is going to propose to her but instead he tells her he wants to become a Ultimate Fighting Champion. Pheobe dates two really hot guys and gets busted and ends up with zero hot guys. “I can’t believe I liked a girl who would have a open flame in a wooded area.” LOL
Stargate: SG-1: I’m currently watching Season 2 of this show on DVD. It’s one of those shows I missed the first time around. I have a few friends who absolutely love this show, and since it lasted 10 seasons and produced a spin-off, I had to find out what all the fuss was about. It’s not a huge favorite of mine but I do like it. S2 E15 – A Matter of Time: Ok, if the science behind this episode is correct, the closer you get to a black hole the slower time goes. I’ve been saying that my 2nd job (I work at the customer service desk at a grocery store) is caught in some sort of wormhole that makes time go slower and it looks like I was right! I knew it! S2 E16 – The Fifth Race: O’Neill had some ancient info downloaded into his brain and he had to travel to some far away galaxy, and meet up w/ the stereotypical looking alien, to get their help to retrieve it. Slow but interesting episode.
That 70’s Show – Season 5: I’m renting this show from Netflix. I watched all of Disc 1 over the weekend. I don’t have much to say about the episodes but I will list all of them because I think it looks more impressive that way. hehehe S5 E1 – Going to California S5 E2 – I Can’t Quit You Babe S5 E3 – What Is and What Should Never Be S5 E4 – Heartbreaker S5 E5 – Ramble On: This was probably the funniest episode on this disc. Seeing Eric as Bob (donna's dad) was hilarious. I think Topher Grace is a great actor and I think he could be the next Tom Hanks if he got the right roles. S5 E6 – Over the Hills and Far Away S5 E7 – Hot Dog: Donna & Eric secretly get engaged. Hmmm, interesting. (Sidenote: I love Laura Prepon too. But I’ve already confessed I have a thing for female redheads. I was totally annoyed w/ her when she went blonde.)
House Hunters: I probably watched 9 or 10 episodes of this show over the weekend. So addicted.
MOVIES: Mini’s First Time – Niki Reed plays a bad girl who seduces her step-dad, played by Alec Baldwin, and plots to get rid of her mother.
Penelope – Cute fairy-tale type movie w/ Christina Ricci and Reese Witherspoon. Kids would enjoy this movie.

Once again, I just want to put it out there that I created an Excel spreadsheet with the ENTIRE (new and returning shows) TV schedule for the 08-09 season. I did one tab w/ all the premiere dates and one without, so you can use it for yourself later on to keep track of everything you watch. So, if you are interested in a copy let me know. And this is the last time I will try to push this on anyone, I promise. I’m just trying to be a nice poster and share my awesome chart making skills with all you nice people.
Now for the good stuff, what I watched in the last two days….
Project Runway – Good Queen Fun: Yay, Daniel finally got the boot. Not much to say about this episode overall, they made (outrageous) outfits for drag queens, cool. I did find it ironic that the one straight guy won the drag queen challenge. On a sidenote, I think a woman will definitely win this season. The women seem to have the most talent. I have really liked what Terry, Korto, Kenley and Leann have done so far this and I’ve even liked what Stella has done. So, does anyone agree with me on this?
The Dead Zone S6 E4 – Big Top: Johnny solves a 10-year-old murder at the carnival. And it looks like J.J. might have some of Johnny’s psychic abilities.
Flashpoint – Attention Shoppers (8/14): I haven’t watched every episode of this series since it premiered (my roomies didn’t think I was interested in it and watched Ep 3 & 4 w/out me and deleted them) but I think this show might grow on me. I thought the pilot was “just ok”, liked the 2nd episode a little better and I definitely enjoyed this episode.
Weeds – The Love Circle Overlap: Doug finally found his Mexican sweetie, thanks to Andy. Which was about the only fun part of this episode. The rest was sort of weird and boring. I hope the next episode will be better.
Big Brother 10: April left and we have to wait til Sunday to see who won HOH because it’s another endurance competition, which means we won’t get any food competition, bummer. Oh, and Julie announced that next Thursday will be a Double Live Eviction. At least it won’t be a boring episode.
Mad Men S2 E2 – Flight 1: Ok, so in this episode we found out what Peggy did with the baby. And we also start to see a change in Peggy, she’s no longer that wide-eyed naïve girl she was in Season 1. Marci: You were right, in this episode it was March 1962. And I am starting to notice that change in tone you mentioned. I plan on watching E3 & E4 this weekend so I will let you know what I think of those on Monday.
House Hunters – 7 episodes

Before I get to reviewing the shows I watched yesterday I want to once again offer to anyone who is interested, and has excel, a copy of the spreadsheet I made w/ the new TV schedule and all the premiere dates. It’s something you could modify for yourself and keep a copy next to your DVR so you don’t miss any of your favorite shows or the premiere of a new one. So, just PM me if you want a copy.
Also, I work tonight so I won’t be watching too much tonight so I’ll skip blogging tomorrow and just do one on Friday.
In Plain Sight – A Fine Meth: What an excellent season finale. Very emotional but also very cathartic for Mary, Jinx and Brandi. I think they needed to have that big fight so they could get everything out in the open and start healing as a family. I hope this means that next season they will all be a little nicer to each other. And it looks like Brandi won’t be going to jail like we all thought. And how great was that final scene when we find out what happened to the drugs? Very amusing.
Secret Life of Teenager – Your Cheatin’ Heart: So, Amy won’t be going to stay with her grandma, a.k.a Mimzy, afterall and she will have to stay at home. I’m sure that will make Ben very happy. I could discuss the stuff between Lauren and Madison but I don’t feel like it. I want to discuss the George and Ann situation. Ok, maybe I’m being overly judgmental here but in my experience, once a cheater, always a cheater. I don’t see how Ann could ever trust George again and I don’t know if he can ever really stop his cheating ways. I wonder if George cheated on his 1st wife w/ Ann? Personally, I never understood women who get involved w/ married men. Hello, if he’s willing to cheat on his wife w/you, then you can’t really be surprised when he cheats on you too. Besides, what does that say about someone’s character? I would have no respect for a guy who was married and wanted to date me too. So, I wonder what will happen between those two?
Big Brother 10 – Sort of a boring episode. Dan won POV and decided not to use it. That’s about it.
Friends S3 E17 – The One Without the Ski Trip: Ross & Rachel learn to deal w/ being around each other for the sake of the group. S3 E18 – The One with the Hypnosis Tape: Very funny episode. The Frank Jr. & Alice scenes were hilarious. But my favorite part of this episode was the introduction of Pete (Jon Favreau). The Monica & Pete storyline was one of my favorites from Season 3. S3 E19 – The One with the Tiny T-Shirt: Joey is in a new play and develops a crush on his co-worker.
CSI – This is another show I couldn’t stay caught up ON so I recorded it and saved it on DVD. I’m slowly getting caught up now. S8 E8 – You Kill Me: This was the first episode after Sara left. Sort of a strange episode. Hodges develops this game called Lab Rats and runs all these bizarre murder scenarios to the rest of lab geeks.
The Dead Zone S6 E3 – Re-Entry: Sarah has a girl and names her Hope.

Hello, everyone. Welcome once again to my Daily Viewing Blog. Now, before we get down to business I wanted to let everyone know that yesterday I created a spreadsheet in Excel for the new TV schedule with all their premiere dates. If anyone is interested in a copy to use for themselves then just send me a PM with your email address and I will send it to you. This spreadsheet has been a great tool for me to keep track of what I need to record/watch each week. Mine is even color-coded.
Ok, now for the real reason you are reading my blog, to find out what shows I watched last night. Since I don’t want to keep you in suspense any longer, here we goooo…..
Swingtown – Get Down Tonight: When I first heard about this series I thought it sounded, well, lame. But I was hooked from the first episode and it’s turned out to be a fav of mine this summer. I love all the 70’s music and the groovy clothes. Like the outfit Tom was wearing to go out dancing at the new Disco hot spot, Jet. He was definitely channeling Tony Manero for that ensemble. The juiciest part of this episode was that Roger finally confessed, to his therapist, that he is in love with Susan, which us viewers knew all along w/ their lingering glances and touches. But he actually did something about it and kissed Susan! Wowza! We also got to see Janet in the working world and I think she was meant to be a career woman. She was kicking butt and taking names at that newspaper, and not taking crap from her lecherous boss. I have to say, even though Janet can definitely be uptight at times I really like her character. I feel a little bad for her that her husband is lusting after another woman but I can see why, Susan’s a pretty cool chick. Swingtown isn’t on this Friday but it is on next Friday, and it looks like Trina has some pretty big news.
Saving Grace – Do You Love Him (8/11): I never knew that Grace’s beloved car had a name, Connie. This was a really good episode. My favorite part was when Barry Switzer (who I never heard of before but I guess anyone who lives in OK knows of him) came in to the station and him and Butch had that stare-down because Butch played for Texas U in college, which I’m guessing is a big rival of OU. Very funny. What wasn’t so funny was Ham finding out that his younger brother passed away before getting to the hospital in Germany.
The Closer – Problem Child: What a sad and upsetting episode. The subject matter of this episode really got to me. I hated hearing what that 13-year-old monster was doing to those animals. And I have to be honest, I wasn’t that sad to hear he was dead. That might sound terrible but it was quite obvious that he was a psychopath. Now, if the parents had never done anything to try to get him help then I would definitely say the fault would be theirs but in the interrogation room they told Brenda that they tried Military Schools and Anger Camps and it did nothing. Obviously the kid was just pure evil. Well performed episode but totally depressing. (Little side note: the girl that played their daughter was the actress that play April on Gilmore Girls. How different she looked all goth’d out.)
The Dead Zone – Season 6: I watched Seasons 1 – 5 on USA while they aired but last summer I decided to wait til the DVD came out. So, now I’m renting the last season of this show that started out strong but sort of tapered off for me sometime during Season 5. I guess I got a little bored w/ all the Stilson stuff. S6 E1 – Heritage: Wow! We lost Walt Bannerman. How sad for Sarah and J.J. (who was replaced this season w/ a different actor), especially since Sarah is 7 months pregnant. But, and this might sound awful, maybe her and Johnny can finally be together since that’s the way I always thought it should be. But, with Walt’s death there is the mystery of what he was working on when he died. S6 E2 – Ego: Good episode. Cleaves Mills has a new sheriff who is investigating Walt, which seems to be tied to whatever he was working on in the previous episode.
Movie – Numb: Odd movie w/ Matthew Perry and Lynn Collins. I’m not sure if I have seen Lynn Collins before but she’s absolutely adorable. Very sexy redhead. But I have to say, Matthew Perry looked a little rough in this movie. I wonder if that was for his character or because of Perry’s publicized drug use?
House Hunters – 2 episodes.

Hi, Everyone. I hope everyone had a good weekend. I sure did. Not only did I get to rest but I was also productive (cleaned & organized the gadget drawers in the kitchen) and got to watch lots of TV shows. So, without further ado, here is what I watched.
Army Wives - Duplicity (8/10): I was in the navy for 4 years, right after high school, so I enjoy this show because it reminds me why I hated being in the military. Other than that it’s a very enjoyable show. I don’t really have much to say about it other than Pam is my favorite character.
Eureka – Best in Faux: Very cute episode. Being a huge animal lover it was a little sad to see those loveable dogs exploding even if they were just robots. And how cute was Fifi? And now I know why Allison was in that wedding dress we saw in the previews and it wasn’t why I thought, phew! But this week’s episode looks mighty good, they are advertising that this “is the episode that will change everything”, which probably means some one will die. It’s also a time loop episode, which is always fun.
Burn Notice – Bad Blood: Another great episode of a totally enjoyable show. I’m watching Season 2 of Stargate SG-1 right now and Michael Shanks has really matured since then, huh? Which makes sense because that was about 10 years ago. Loved the scene between Madeline and Michael at the end. Very touching.
Monk – Mr. Monk is Underwater: As I mentioned above I was in the Navy for 4 years so I saw a lot of flaws with this episode. Let me tell all of you, it is very unlikely that they would of gone on an exercise w/ two civilians aboard. I could tell you all the reasons why but I’m not gonna bother. Besides, it would take away from a really cute episode.
Pysch – Disco Didn’t Die, It Was Murdered: Cute episode. Nothing extraordinary. I did like the fact that Shawn and Henry worked together and actually appreciated each other for once.
Big Brother 10 (live): I think if Renny wasn’t in an alliance w/ Keesha she would of liked to put up Memphis and for good reason. I think Renny totally has his number. But she played it safe, which isn’t a bad idea, and put up April and Jerry instead. I’m hoping they get rid of Jerry. 1) I don’t like him and 2) the poor man has been on slop for almost 20 days. I’m sorry, but I think that is just cruel and inhuman. Does anyone else hate the slop thing? I really do.
Mad Men – 4 episodes: Finished Season 1 on DVD and watched Season 2 premiere OnDemand. Gotta love modern technology. S1 E11 - Indian Summer: Very amusing episode with vibrating panties. And that’s all I really have to say about that episode. S1 E12 – Nixon vs. Kennedy: No comment on this episode. S1 E13 – The Wheel: Season 1 finale. OMG, Peggy had a baby. It was very obvious that she was pregnant w/ the way they had that fat suit on her but I didn’t know she was that far along. And I loved scenes about the ad campaign for the Kodak Carousel. My mom and I watched it together and when they revealed the ad we both looked at each other and said, “that’s right, that’s what it was called!” S2 E1 – For Those Who Think Young: Season 2 premiere. Peggy is slim again and, of course, we have no clue what she did w/ the baby but I’m guessing she put it up for adoption since in the finale she didn’t even want to hold the baby.
Supernatural – 2 episodes: I couldn’t stay caught up on this show last season so I saved the episodes and I’m getting caught up now. I wasn’t that into the show during Season 1 but it picked up for me during Season 2. S3 E10 – Dream a Little Dream of Me: Just an okay episode. Obviously inspired by Nightmare on Elm Street. S3 E11 – Mystery Spot: The "Groundhog Day" episode. Excellent episode. I love time-loop stuff. I thought of something that amused me. Instead of “I Got You Babe” as the song playing at the start of everyday (like in Groundhog Day) we got “Heat of the Moment” by Asia, but I thought it would have been funny if they had “If I Could Turn Back Time” by Cher instead. Get it, cuz it’s another Cher song and it’s about turning back time? Ok, but I thought it was funny.
Friends – 3 episodes: I’m rewatching my all-time favorite sitcom on DVD. I own all 10 seasons. This time around I got my roommate and best friend into the show and they are watching it for the first time. S3 E14 – The One with Phoebe’s Ex Partner: Joey threw a woman’s artificial leg into a fire. LOL LOL LOL S3 E15 – The One where Ross & Rachel Take a Break: The episode that changed everything on Friends for a very long time. S3 E16 – The One the Morning After: When I watched these two episodes back when they originally aired I always thought that Rachel was being a little unreasonable and should of forgiven Ross. I always thought he sort of had reason to believe that they had just broken up so it couldn’t necessarily be called “cheating”. But now that I’m a little older and wiser, I know see what a jerk Ross was being with regards to his jealousy. And it was his actions that were totally frustrating Rachel and made her say, “we need a break” (before I break your friggin neck, you insecure putz – sorry, old personal wounds coming back to haunt me). So, now I’m more on Rachel’s side over this situation. Also, it has to be mentioned that “We were on a break” has now become a pop culture phrase.
House Hunters – 4 or 5 episodes: The episode that I enjoyed the most was the two guys looking for a vacation condo in Las Vegas. They picked out a really cool place. I know want to become filthy rich and buy myself one.
Extreme Living – 2 episodes: This is another show I enjoy watching on HGTV. There are some really talented architects out there.

Ok, so yesterday I started a blog and I said I would be doing it on Thursdays and Mondays. But after I saw how long it turned out to be, and since I have a lot to say about the shows I watched last night, I decided I would blog again today. Hey, I'm a woman and I have the right to change my mind, right? Maybe I'll do it every weekday for now and if I find I have less and less to say then I'll cut back on my blogs. So, here is what I watched last night... Saving Grace – It’s a Fierce, White-Hot, Mighty Love (8/4): This isn’t one of my favorite shows but I do like the Earl part of the show. It’s the actual cop part I find a little on the ho-hum side sometimes. The Middleman – The Ectoplasmic Panhellenic Investigation (8/4): This will be the last episode I watch of this show. I liked the pilot but I found myself completely bored after that. I actually didn’t watch the 3 episodes before this one. I only recorded this one because of the ghost theme. And even though it did turn out to be an enjoyable episode, which could have been because of all the Ghostbusters references, and I like the budding romance between Wendy and Tyler, it’s just not enough to keep me interested in watching. But I wish it no ill will and hope it stays on the air for the sake of all the fans this show does have. In Plain Sight – Stan By Me (8/10): Excellent episode. Brandi is in some deep doo-doo, that’s for sure. I felt sorry for her. I wanted to hug her when she told her mom, “He said he wouldn’t love me anymore if I didn’t do this for him." Why do so many women have such low self-esteem and let men dictate their worth to them??? Grrrrrrrrrr Sorry, personal pet peeve of mine. Also loved the scene when Marshall got all emotional after he realized that Mary had been kidnapped. You could tell how he truly cares about his best friend. Big Brother 10 (live): Yay, Renny got HOH! She was the one I was hoping would win. A woman has been HOH for 4 weeks in a row now. You go girls! I realized this morning that alliances are 4 and 4 now. Renny, Keesha, Mephis & Dan v. April, Ollie, Jerry and Michelle. Who will prevail? Mad Men S1 E10 – Long Weekend: I’m renting and watching Season 1 right now. I didn’t hear about this show until mid-summer last year and I hate to miss out on a show that everyone is talking about so I had to rent it. I like it. It’s very different. Sort of slow pace but I love how they capture that time period. Now, I wasn’t around in the 60’s (expect for 1 ½ months in 1969) so I didn’t live during that time but my mom did so I know what it was like from what she has told me. The cast is superb. And I really only have one more thing to say, men can be such pigs. OMG! In the episode I watched last night, Sterling (John Slattery – who I have adored since that short-lived sitcom on Lifetime w/ Ann Cusack called Maggie) was King of the Pigs when he tried to get those twins sisters to fool around w/ each other. That’s even too naughty for my taste and that’s saying something! House Hunters – 3 episodes – No wonder my Aunt & Uncle live in Newnan, GA cuz a family bought a huge house there for $200,000. Here in Maryland a house like that would cost at least $480,000. Then I watched one where this couple got a small townhouse in San Francisco for $799,000 – yikes. How can people afford houses like that?

Hi, everyone! I’m here at work, totally bored, and I wanted to blog about something but I wasn’t sure what. I watch lots and lots and lots of TV shows but I’m not very good at recapping episodes. Ok, maybe that’s not necessarily true, I have written recaps before on another site, long ago, but the truth is I don’t really like doing it. It takes too long and I’m lazy. And I’m definitely not good at writing reviews. My reviews would go something like this, “I watched [insert a TV show here] last night, it was a good episode and I liked it.”
Since I do watch so many TV shows and I like to tell people what I watched, I came up with an idea for a regular blog. Every Thursday (that’s today!) and Monday I will list what I have watched on the previous nights. So, on Thursday I will blog about what I watched on Monday night, Tuesday night and Wednesday night. And on Monday I will blog about what I watched on Thursday night, Friday night and over the weekend.
Most of the time I’ll basically just be listing what I watched but every now and then I’m sure I’ll feel inspired to write a sentence or two about a show that stood out for me that week, a semi-recap/review, if you will.
So, let me get started.
Monday Night In Plain Sight (8/3 episode) – I’m really enjoying this show. Rafe needs to dump Mary and hook up w/ Brandi already. And then Mary will be free to hook-up w/ that hot cop. Or, she can hook-up w/ Marshall and leave the hot cop for me..hehehe.
Burn Notice (8/7 episode) – Seriously, how cool is Michael?
Summer Showdown (8/11 episode) – I liked the guys design better too but my mom liked the girls design, but she’s a lover of anything white, black and red.
The Mole Finale (live) – Craig is the Mole! And I’m so happy that Mark won, he really needed that money. I felt a little sorry for Nicole, I actually liked her.
Tuesday Night The Closer (8/11) – Provenza does it again. I thought the reason he gave Pope for why he would never retire was hilarious. What was up with Jennifer Coolidge’s accent? Was she supposed to be foreign or hearing impaired cuz I couldn’t quite tell.
Weeds (8/11) – So glad that Nancy had her little talk w/ Shane and I thought she handled it very well cuz that was a really awkward situation.
Secret Life of American Teenager (live) – When I heard that Molly Ringwald was going to be in this show I had to check it out. I expected to hate it but I totally got sucked in. I think the girl that plays Amy is one good little actress and her story is very compelling. Unfortunately, the guy that plays Ricki is not a good actor, he’s actually pretty horrible but I can look past it. I really like Ben but I think it’s a little strange he told Amy he loved her after one week but I guess it can happen. It’s been a long time since I was a teenager, or been in love, so I don’t really remember what it’s like. And I really like the relationship between Ben and his father. I do find it a little too convenient how all the main character's life intertwine w/each – Amy got pregnant by Ricky who dates Adrian, whose mom is having an affair w/ George, Amy’s dad and she “hooked-up” w/ Jack who dates Grace, whose mom was Amy’s dad’s 1st wife. How small is the town they live in?
House Hunters – my new obsession. Can’t get enough of this cute little show on HGTV. Which house will they pick? Which house will they pick?
A Slipping Down Life (movie). A movie from 1999 w/ Lili Taylor & Guy Pearce. Based on an Anne Tyler book, which explains the slow pace and odd characters but I enjoyed it.
Wednesday Night Eureka (8/5) – Love any scene between Jack & Allison. Her and Nathan aren’t really gonna get married, are they? I haven’t seen this week’s episode yet so don’t tell me if they do.
Monk (8/8) – That line delivered by James Lesure totally cracked me up, “Well, you kept rearranging the hurdles and you had to touch everything.” I really like him. Sigh, I’m gonna miss Las Vegas.
Project Runway (live) – One of my favorite reality shows. Personally, I liked Jarrell and Stella’s outfit better. I was sorry to see Kelly go, I think the judges should of gotten rid of Daniel instead.
The Golden Compass (movie) – I didn’t actually watch the whole movie. My roommate had the speakers on w/ the TV volume and it created this echo. He didn’t hear it and wouldn’t adjust the sound so that was really distracting. Plus, they had thick British accents so I was even more confused. I stopped watching about ½ way thru when I got a phone call. I will say one thing, it did look spectacular in Blu-Ray.
House Hunters – 2 episodes.
Well, that’s it. Wow, this turned out to be a lot longer than I thought. It won’t be always be this long. I had the introduction this time and I reviewed some shows in more detail since this is the first time I’m talking about them. See you on Monday!

I haven't been blogging here for very long so if I am wrong in what I'm about to say, I'm sorry, but I noticed that most of the blogs on TV shows are for the mainstream Primetime shows. Whether they are on one of the five major networks or a cable network (i.e. TNT, USA, TBS). But what about those cute little shows that catch our attention on one of the specialized networks like Food Network, HGTV or Discovery Channel? Does anyone have a show they just love and can't miss and you have one waiting on your DVR right now to watch? I would like to know what the TV Guide bloggers are watching.
For myself, my new obsession is House Hunters on HGTV. I just love this show. It totally appeals to the part of me that loves to go to open houses, even though I know I have no intention on moving anytime in the near future. I love looking at the three houses the realator picks out for them, critiquing what I like and don't like about each house, picking my favorite and then seeing if the family/person goes for the one I picked for myself. But most of all, I love the follow-up at the end where we see the family/person all moved in and enjoying their hew house. I watched 5 episodes in a row last night.
Hidden Potential is also a show I like but I don't like the fact there isn't any follow-up at the end. We see three houses, and how the house can be transformed with some minor or major renovations, but we never see if the family actually makes those changes after they move in.
So, what about you? What show can't you live without and look forward to watching just as much your primetime shows?

Did anyone watch the premiere last night? I did. And I agreed with the winner and who they "auf'd".
I love this show. I'm not really big on fashion but I just love watching them create beautiful, and sometimes funky, outfits from weird objects.

I just searched 6 pages of Blog entries and I can't believe no one has blogged about this fabulous series!
I stumbled onto the 2006 World Series by accident last year and I totally ate it up. Entertainment trivia is my one and only talent in this life. I had so much fun watching it and screaming the answers at my TV, especially when the contestants didn't know the answer and I did. And the host they have, Pat Something, is awesome too. He has this dry humor that cracks me up. I loved it when this season the one contestant asked him to repeat the lyrics to the song, "Da Butt". Too funny. Of course, neither contestant knew the answer and I did. I'm sitting there yelling at my TV, "It's 'Da Butt'! It's 'Da Butt'!"
So is anyone else watching and how good are you at answering the questions? I would say I know about 80% of the answers. Last night I knew all the answers to the questions in the Kevin Bacon category. I think I knew all the answers to two other categories but I can't think of what they were right now. I definitely knew all the cast members for the movie The Breakfast Club, which was a tie-breaker question. You can't claim to be a fan of Pop Culture and not know the answer to that one.
I can't wait for Monday when the Semi-Finals start!
