NBC Confirms Rollout Plan for New Episodes
My Name Is Earl by Michael Yarish/NBC
Tweaking a bit that which was previously reported (at least with respect to its Thursday-night lineup), NBC has issued a game plan for its returing series, inlcuding both Law & Orders. Without further ado:
April 3 8 pm/ET: My Name Is Earl (returning with a one-hour episode
March 20 10 pm: Lipstick Jungle concludes its run
April 10 8:30: 30 Rock 9 pm: The Office 9:30 pm: Scrubs 10 pm: ER
April 15 10 pm: Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
April 23 10 pm: Law & Order
Medium, meanwhile, will forge on with original fare, Mondays at 10..
"Specific plans for other NBC scripted series are currently being determined," says the Peacock's press release, "and will be announced later." Translation: Watch 30 Rock.

I don't understand how Law & Order is returning on April 23 when it is still airing new episodes. I know they didn't start the season until January and they haven't run out yet. So what happens in April? Are we going to get more than 13 episodes of the show this season?

So, basically we have yet another Arrested Development on our hands with 30 Rock. No one watched it because it's too intelligent for the average viewer I guess. Seriously, when they are renewing shows like Ghost Whisperer and Two and Half Men right away but 30 Rock is in trouble, what else can it be? This sucks. Viewers get you heads out of you as%es and freakin watch one good show. Just one! You can still have your retarded American Idol and Dancing with the Stars, but give this one a chance!

Jam Fan, while 30 Rock is a great show, I think the TV Guide staff member who wrote this was making a sarcastic remark concerning Ben Silverman’s biting comments about our favorite, Friday Night Lights. When asked about it, he continually spouted “Watch 30 Rock,” like the self-indulgent prig he must be by insulting all of his loyal viewers who simply want him to cradle the blessing that is Friday Night Lights, one of the few (and I do mean FEW) quality television shows on the air these days.

I agree with taryn1969! I don't watch 30 Rock, but after hearing Ben Silverman's comments about FNL..he turned me off from watching 30 rock even more...

Don't blame a good show for a bad executive. Watch as much quality television as they air.

Oh man, that still annoys me.
NBC Thursday in general isn't doing too well Mr. Silverman, neither is the rest of your primetime line-up.

NorthernStar, L&OCI, original episodes don't run on NBC, but they do on USA. I believe they are listed on a previous listing as making some new episodes, too.

Law and Order, I believe, had 12 pre-strike episodes. So it will run out of new shows in mid-March. That is why NBC is explaining "Law and Order" as needing to "return" on April 23. Perhaps NBC will sprinkle the remaining pre-strike episodes across March and April, filling in with some reruns now and then. Just like "Lost," both shows will have a mini-hiatus from mid-March to mid-April.

Gag.
Yup my immidiate reaction. While I think 30 Rock is a great show, I love Heroes too, when the exec blatenly disses one of its own shows like Silverman did with FNL it puts me off. Yes I want to support the shows I like but not on the expense of one I love. Silverman had some good stuff in his hands... I just hope another network signs up Lauren Graham before its too late.

Translation: Watch 30 Rock.
I've never watched 30 Rock, but after Silverman's rude response to questions about the future of Friday Night Lights, I now have no desire to ever watch 30 Rock.
IMO - Watch FNL. Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.
