Fall Fanatic TV Mania!!!

What on earth happened to the Summer? I blinked (must have been that .5 hours of sleep I got in the last few weeks) and next thing you know it’s the end of August. Would you believe that Fox is going to start the Prison Break premiere THIS Monday, as in the 1 of September. This made me realize I actually had to sit down and look at what this Fall is going to bring us. All I can say is that it’s a great thing I am lacking a social life…all this TV would really interrupt that if I did! Keep in mind this is just for the Fall. Come January there will be more premieres like Lost, 24, and Friday Night Lights!!
So how is my week going to look:

Monday:
8p.m.: Chuck, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Big Bang Theory/How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl (Houston we have a problem – one DVR, one VCR, and two TVs – I am going to have to get creative!) And Dancing with the Stars – This is my mom’s favorite show on TV. I have to give it at least a passing glance because I know she will call wanting to talk about it and I can’t disappoint her.
9p.m.: Prison Break (and Heroes when it starts back up)
9:30p.m.: Samantha Who
10p.m.: My Own Worst Enemy – I am not too sure about this one but I’ve always had a soft spot for the spy genre and in my geeky, awkward teenage years I had the biggest crush on Christian Slater. If I don’t like it I will like be 1) asleep or 2) catching up on one of the 8p.m. shows.

Tuesday:
8p.m.: 90210 (Why? Why not! I vaguely remember the one from 10 years ago), House
9p.m.: Fringe, The Mentalist (I still not convinced this isn’t a Psych knockoff but Simon Baker is a cutie so I will check it out)
10p.m.: Eli Stone

Wednesday:
8p.m.: Pushing Daisies, Bones, and Knight Rider (yeah, yeah, I know. But hey – other people watch shows and can’t come up with decent reason, Knight Rider is one of mine)
9p.m.: Private Practice (I will check it out again, it wasn’t a real favorite of mine last season but who knows, maybe there is marked improvement the second time around), Criminal Minds (see comment about Knight Rider)
10p.m.: CSI: NY

Thursday:
8p.m. Ugly Betty
9p.m.: Supernatural (yippee), Grey’s Anatomy, CSI (I am intrigued one what Grissom’s departure will do to the show), The Office/30 Rock
10p.m.: Life on Mars, The Eleventh Hour (still not sure what this one is about but I’ll take a gander nonetheless) *and Burn Notice until it goes into its Fall hiatus

Friday:
8p.m.: Crusoe (to see what it’s about)
9p.m.: The Ex List (see above)
10p.m.: Numb3rs
*and Psych until it goes into it's Fall hiatus

Saturday: Playing catch up on any number of shows!!!

Sunday:
8p.m.: Amazing Race, The Simpsons,
9p.m.: Cold Case
10p.m.: Brothers & Sisters
It should be noted that if the Pittsburgh Steelers are playing a Sunday night game that will trump any other network viewing!

I am not sure if I am proud of this or simply horrified that I’ve given my weekly viewing this much thought!!!

escapism101: we need to talk because I think we were seperated at birth. You watch almost the exact same shows that I do. It would be easier to tell you what I don't watch on that list, that's for sure.

I also have no social life, just check out one of my recent blogs and you can tell.

I think I might do the same exact thing tomorrow instead of leaving it in a comment. So, look for my list tomorrow, k?

XandraSkye -- I look forward to seeing your list tomorrow!

I almost forgot...what I wrote in the main blog is just basically for network TV...it doesn't include shows like True Blood on HBO!

:-D

Now you've done it! You actually had to go ahead and make "the list". Alright! Alright! I'll sit down and make mine. I simply hope the neighbors won't hear my whimpers of frustration.

I'm telling you, CA: honestly, if e-harmony matched people on tv tastes alone, we would seriously be their biggest success story.

I made my line-up this evening and even with two dual-DVR's, there are certain time slots this fall that are going to be very challenging.

Are you going to check out True Blood?

(Hi Keeper! Any luck on Legend of the Seeker airing in your neck of the woods?)

Hi CA, Xandra, and Rod,

Count me in as a charter member of the No-Social-Life Club.

I'm still trying to keep up with my summer shows. As for fall shows, I've only gotten as far as next week. I'm really looking forward to start of the final season of The Shield on Tuesday and the new season premier of Bones on Wednesday. I'm also going to check out Sons of Anarchy on Wednesday. I'm not sure I'll like it well enough to squeeze it into the rest of my schedule, though.

I also plan to check out True Blood on HBO.

I'll worry about the rest later.

Hi Cindy -- Yep...told ya there was a lot out there. It required more thought then I anticipated.

Hi Rod -- Hey -- I understand that you can get a week of e-harmony for free!! ;) Yes, I will check out True Blood! I totally forgot until after I posted and xandraskye responded. I saw Matt Roush's critique and am not even more jazzed about it. I just finished the first book, "Dead Until Dark", it's a fun read.

Marci -- This summer was the first summer that was almost as busy viewing wise as the normal TV season. It tells me that cable really has come into its own for original programing.

Huzzah to the No Social-Life Club. The fact that I am writing this at 4 in the morning should give you some idea just how boring my life. All work and TV watching!!

To all the single men out there. Hi, my name is Xandra Skye, I'm a career woman w/ a great personality who enjoys vegging out in front of the TV for hours on end and then talking about those same shows in great detail. I'm neat, loves animals and have a great rack.

Hmmmm....see at least you have something there. Mine would read something along the lines of To all the single men out there. Hi, my name is CA, I'm a career woman w/ a quirky personality who enjoys vegging out in front of the TV for hours on end and then talking about those same shows in great detail. I practice the organized chaos form of cleaning, my superhero power is the ability to repel the male persuasion in under 10 minutes but have a great sense of humor. Am I a catch or what?

Rev -- the humor is a required element for my personality....because the rejection would be too darn depressing if I didn't just laugh at it!!

How do you think I make through most days, CA?

My faith in God sustains me, but my humor makes the day go down more smoothly.

I'm in the same boat as you: one DVR, one extra TV, and not enough hours in the day!

I agree with many of your shows. Monday will definitely be the busiest night of the week. Good thing for the weekend so I can catch up on all the 'girly' shows my bf refuses to watch with me!
