Get Ready for "Jus in Bello"

It's time to break into our regularly scheduled programming, namely the "Mystery Spot" blog, in order to get everyone geared up for the Thursday night Supernatural double feature.

The CW first airs "Night Shifter" - one of the best episodes of Season 2 hands down. It introduced cranky FBI agent Henricksen - a man that ended up making the brothers' life hell on earth. It's also the episode that featured what I think is my favorite use of classic rock after "Carry on Wayward Son." That would be Styx's "Renegade."

Then it's the last new episode of the pre-strike era: "Jus in Bello." Just like last week, the CW provided me with the opportunity to see this one in advance. Henricksen's back and let me tell you it's a good one. It's action-packed, furthers the mythology along and I'm betting a lot of you guys will have an emotional reaction after the episode. I'm just not going to tell you which emotion - I'll let you guess for yourself. I really understand why they ended up switching "Mystery Spot" and "Jus in Bello" so they could end it with this one.

So again, just like last week, let's spread the love and the word for Supernatural. Once again, it's going up against some tough competition.

I'll see you guys back here Thursday night/Friday morning for some in depth analysis. Although, how are we going to top the debates, speculations and analysis that went on for "Mystery Spot"? That was some serious stuff. I love reading everyone's opinions...

OK, since the episode is only hours away, this would be more like a betting pool than spec right? I swore I'd downshift on the spec.

I'm placing my money on Hendrickson being red-shirted. They're gonna convert him into an ally to make him the 1st real fallen soldier (unless you count Isaac). You can't go about Saving Private Ryan without generating a few Casualties of War, right? But we don't have any warriors on the human's side I think TPTB would be ready to part with just yet.

They're not gonna kill off Sam or Dean tonight. Will Bobby, Ellen, or Bela even be in this one? I wouldn't mind seeing Ruby sacrifice herself for the cause, might put a side bet one that one. But again, it seems premature to get rid of her character.

I can't wait! Even though I've probably already seen "Nightshifter" 3 or 4 times, I'm so excited that it's a full night of Supernatural! "Jus In Bello" looks like it's going to be incredible!
