Rod's 2007-08 TV Awards: Bonus Awards (part 2)
Hello once again, Blog Buddies!
The awards week continues, with part 2 of our bonus awards.
As usual, the number of winners is kept to 8; but you can see all of the honorable mentions for these categories by clicking here.
Also, as usual, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the award winners listed below. Which ones did I get right, and which ones did I get wrong?

Best Couple:
• Sun & Jin (Lost)
This one is really hard. I love Brenda & Fritz, Eric & Tami, and Penny & Desmond (I don't watch the shows of the other couples); but I've got to go with Sun & Jin, because it's the couple we had to root the hardest for this season (Jin had better not be dead).
Best Should-Be Couple:
• PJ & Bobby (My Boys)
I'd like to see Sam with Martin too (and please not Jack), and Shawn & Jules would be cute together. Samantha should eventually end up with Todd, but not just yet. I chose PJ & Bobby because they've been best friends for so long that they've established a great foundation for a life-long romance. I hope Bobby is the one PJ took to Italy.
Dynamic Duos:
• Marc & Amanda (Ugly Betty)
• Sam & Dean (Supernatural)
• Booth & Bones (Bones)
(Dean & Bela??? That's a joke, right?)
Well, there's no way I can pick just one--this is another apples and oranges situation, and I can only narrow it down to three:
Marc & Amanda for sheer LOL hysterics; Sam & Dean for putting us through the gamut of emotions; and Booth & Bones just for pure entertainment. The hardest to leave off was Shawn & Gus--I love them too.
Hottest Chicks on TV:
• Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck)
I'm only familiar with three on your list. I picked Yvonne Strahovski because she's beautiful, smart, and kicks butt all over the place. She's the one I would most want to be like.
Dudes I'd Do:
• Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights)
No contest. He's gorgeous and funny and nice as can be--my kind of combo.
But the dude I'd most want to do isn't on your list:
Alex O'Laughlin of the late, lamented Moonlight. For me, he's the hottest guy on television and if another network doesn't pick up Moonlight, I hope Alex gets another series, pronto!!

Aww, the last one, Rod! I've still got one more after today's. I've really enjoyed all of yours, particularly these bonus categories. Okay, here I go:

I don't watch any of these so I'm voting for Hodgins and Angela on Bones.
Best Should-Be Couple:
I could get behind a few of these, but I'm going to pick Shawn & Jules (Psych).
Dynamic Duos:
Well, I love a lot of these duos, but you know my favorite--Booth & Bones (Bones).
Hottest Chicks on TV:
Haha, these wouldn't necessarily be my list of hottest chicks, but I agree with all of them. My vote goes to Kate Walsh; I really like her.

Bela never clicked with me as a character therefore she and Dean never clicked as even a potential dynamic duo. I just never liked the fact that the guys seemed significantly stupid around her and we know that they aren't. That aspect of her ruined her entire character for me. I never watched Flight so I had to remove that couple as well and I would put Reaper's Sam and Sock (and Ben) on it instead.

I LOVE this set of awards, Rod! Let's see, I HAVE watched a little more tv than usual this year mostly due to a television-addicted daughter living back home again after finishing up college.
Best couples:

Eric and Tammi
Best should be couple:
Martin and Sam
She should seriously open her eyes!
Dynamic Duo:
Sam and Dean
Of course!-I am, however, probably one of the very few who would agree with you on Dean and Bela, too! I thought Jensen and Lauren Cohan had GREAT chemistry together(I swear I thought we were going to get a JR/Sue Ellen moment there in the hotel room scene in the episode Time is on My Side!). It's too bad Bela wasn't written better-who knows what could have been...

Hottest Chick on TV: This has recently changed to Tricia Helfer of Battlestar because she just keeps getting better looking - especially for a Cylon - frak yeah!
Dudes I'd do (if I swung that way) - so obvious due to the continued bromance that Rod and I share with Jensen Ackles of Supernatural. It's an ongoing thing that I attribute to his blue eyes and strong chin (Jensen's not Rod's)!

Fun awards! I like Dwight and Angela on the Office too. Although they weren't really a couple since he euthanized her cat - until the finale that is! That moment was worth it, however!

Sun and Jin I don' watch Lost anymore but when I did I liked them.
Best Should-be couple:
Shawn and Jules for sure! I love them! A close second would be Abby and Mcgee.
Best Dynamic Duo:
You know I have to pick Sam and Dean! For me there are no others!
Dean and Bella kinda made me go Huh! but then I realized if you put them under best enemies they are the perfect fit!
Hottest Chick:
I'll pick Tricia for you. I'm surprised you didn't add Samantha Ferris to your list.

Kath... Sorry about the coffee... and the keyboard. Here's a tip that I've found useful from being on these blogs and suffering from way too many spontaneous spit-out-your-drink moments: if you keep your head held up at a higher angle when reading, there's a much higher probability that the spit drink will hit your monitor and not your keyboard. (Why is this useful? Because the monitor is a lot easier to clean than the keyboard!)

Megan... I don't watch any of these so I'm voting for Hodgins and Angela on Bones.
Last year Hodgins and Angela topped my list of "best couples," so it really pained me to have to leave them off this year; but since their relationship was so largely ignored this tv season (grr), I couldn't justify giving them a spot on the top 8. Ditto for Helo/Sharon on BSG... another couple I adore, but their relationship has been mainly ignored for most of this season.
CA... I just never liked the fact that the guys seemed significantly stupid around her and we know that they aren't.
This seemed to be a pretty common criticism on Bela's role in the series. I never really saw it that way, myself. To me, Bela was a manipulative mastermind who was a formidable foe for the brothers and that's why she always seemed to be one step ahead of them, not because Sam and Dean got silly around her (except, of course, for when she gave them that bad luck charm and Sam spent the episode looking like a dunce).

That's exactly how I saw it too. As on-screen foes, they had amazing chemistry together. For awhile, before the fan reaction against her convinced Kripke to write her out, I predicted that Dean and Bela would get together in an angry/hot sex way, but never as real lovers or long-term partners. Oh well.

Brother, you ain't kidding. I can't wait to see her in Burn Notice. Her and Gabrielle Anwar on the same show... I think I've died and gone to heaven.

I still think that one of the funniest moments of The Office this season (and there are tons of them) was when Angela was ranting for the camera and she ended it with: "...oh, and my cat is still dead!" I can't quite remember the whole thing or what context it was in, but I remember that it cracked me up. Poor Sprinkles.

I understand completely. Honestly, until I started watching the reruns of the beginning of the season a couple weeks ago, I had almost forgotten that there was so much devoted to them early in the year. (You know, since they were completely IGNORED post-strike. I second your "grrr".)
I'll add a vote for Dwight and Angela, too. They are too perfect for one another.
