Look What CA Started: Here's Rod's Fall Line-up...

CA started it, and now we're all jumping in. Here's my fall schedule.

I've listed all of my returning shows as well as almost all of the new shows since I try to sample each new show (at least the pilot) to see if they're worth sticking with.

Like KellyTroy, I'm only listing my shows by night instead of by time slot since I tend to DVR everything and watch my shows commercial free later on in the evening.

So the real question then becomes: which shows will get watched the night they air so that I can talk about them the next day versus which shows will stay on the DVR a little longer? Tough choices, folks.

MONDAY

Chuck,
CSI: Miami,
Gossip Girl,
Heroes,
How I Met Your Mother,
Prison Break,
Samantha Who,
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,
The Big Bang Theory,

I'm pretty sure this is my most ambitious schedule ever; but DVR technology and OnDemand opitions are beautiful, beautiful things. :)

So the real question then becomes: which shows will get watched the night they air so that I can talk about them the next day versus which shows will stay on the DVR a little longer? Tough choices, folks.

My problem is I have two roommates who watch most of the same shows I watch and my one roommate goes to bed anytime between 8:30p - 9:30p because he has to get up so early. So, anything that airs after 9pm that he watches too has to wait til the next day. I'm sometimes a little sad that I'm always a day or two behind on commenting on certain shows because by the time I comment people have moved on. :(

Rod -- you list is far, far more impressive then mine!!! So basically we pass out on Saturday's right?

Right there with ya. It could be almost a week before I manage to catch up on all my viewing. You will notice that I sometimes do catch up blogs...that way I seem way more current that I actually am!!

Ah, come on, you guys--you're killing me here. I'm not ready for fall! Ok, Rod, I'll do the same with yours that I did with Xandra's. When I have three shows in the same time slot, I can watch one live through my TV tuner, while the other two are recording. And I can watch the shows that are available on On Demand (like Numb3rs, and CSI).

MONDAY

Returning:
• Chuck,
• How I Met Your Mother,
• Samantha Who,
• The Closer,

TUESDAY

Returning:
• Eli Stone,

• The Shield,
• Without a Trace

• Ugly Betty

FRIDAY

• Everybody Hates Chris,
• Life,

• The Starter Wife

You're right about that, Rod.
When I have three shows in the same time slot, I can watch one live through my TV tuner, while the other two are recording. And I can watch the shows that are available on OnDemand (like Numb3rs, and CSI).

I haven't made up my mind on a lot of the new shows because I haven't investigated them yet. So, just because I deleted them from your list doesn't mean I won't end up checking them out.

Wow, how do you do it, Rod?

Can't wait to hear from you, though, especially regarding some of the new shows.

Also, when does Legend of the Seeker start and on what channel? Thanks!!

Do your eyes start to melt into goo towards the end of the week? OMG!!

Ah, I wondered what was going on with my eyes!

...I'm lucky if I watch 2 shows a night!

Gee, met--you must actually have a life!;)

It's a good thing at least some of those are half hour shows, Rod, otherwise you'd never get ANY sleep!

I've been enjoying Primeval. It's turned out to be more fun than I figured it would be.

I haven't made up my mind on the new shows yet. I guess I'll decide when they get here.

...I'm lucky if I watch 2 shows a night!

metalligirl: Did you see my schedule? I watch over 30 shows and that's not including the new stuff. And I don't have any life. I work a full-time job and about 12 hrs a week at a part-time job so when I'm not working I have no energy to do anything but veg in front of the TV. All my friends have gotten married and moved away from the area so I'm sort of friend-less at the time. But, on the the upside of that, it left me more time to watch more shows. LOL.

About the only socializing I do is when I get together with my sister and her hubby about once a month.

But the truth be told, I just love watching TV. And for anyone who has ever said watching TV makes you dumb that is so not true. I have learned all sorts of little trivia from watching TV.

Hi Xandra- I'll just have to add you to Rod and Marci- YOU FREAK ME OUT! OK, I officially make you three my designated TV watchers- you all have to tell me what to watch this upcoming fall. Let me know where the good, juicy stuff is!:-D

Gee, met--you must actually have a life!
Heeheehee, Marci! But nah, I don't have a life, I just have pets...lots and lots of pets. When you have furry little things that have to go out now, those little doggies wait for no TV show!

Rod, I'm definitely not worthy! I would love to have a list that long, but seriously, do you sleep? I know you work and watch TV, but when do you sleep???

I think the shows I do watch are mostly all on your list. Supernatural remains my only "must see live will not miss for any reason unless someone is bleeding don't bother Mama under any circumstances for that one hour" show.

I'm also really looking forward to Chuck and House. And I've been watching my other favorites, Monk, Psych, The Closer, Burn Notice and In Plain Sight.

I hope you're able to fit in some blogs on SN this season, Rod. I enjoy everyone's blogs on that one, but I miss yours too!
