Fringe: What Did You Think?
I'll be the first to admit that the main reason I wanted to watch this show is to see Joshua Jackson. I like him and always have. The story seemed like it might be a little weird and sometimes the show looks like it'll be great and be a big disappointment.
This show was absolutely wonderful! It held my attention the whole time and I was glad there were only few commercials during the premier. I am glad I decided to watch this show and plan to continue to do so. I hope it doesn't disappoint in future episodes.

Fringe won me over. (At least for now and I hope it continues!) It felt more like a movie to me. I really like how we already have some twists and a larger mystery in place. I enjoy all the characters and think they chose the perfect actors to portray them.

I thought the premiere was great. I will have to see the regular series to judge that. The premeire was as good as half the movies I watch. It was fast paced and interesting. I called it somewhere else X-Files meets Altered States meets Conspiracy Theory. Excellent IMO.

Mannie - I loved this show. Sure, it had it's minor flaws but it was exciting, smart and filled full of drama! I am very excited for the next episode.

Hi Mannie -- I felt the show was way over-hyped for what I saw and it took about 40 minutes for me to get into it. But I will most certainly return for future episodes but it hasn't yet reached my "must see".

Hi Mannie,
After watching the first hour, I knew this would be a keeper and added it to my DVR Series lineup. I wasn't familiar with Joshua Jackson, but I liked him a lot as Peter Bishop.
The character that really intrigues me, though, is Phillip Broyles, creepily played by Lance Reddick (Matthew Abaddon of Lost). Just what is his agenda, really????

...I wanted to watch this show is to see Joshua Jackson.
Er, Mannie, don't hate me but did you know that I actually met Joshua Jackson and got a hug from him?

I agree Amber. I was surprised by the tape of the boyfriend (I don’t have their names down yet) being on the bad side, or did I misinterpret that??? Can’t wait for them to keep the story going.
That’s a great description of it Cindy. I’m hoping it keeps the pace.
I hope it doesn’t take you so long to get into it next week escapism. I liked it pretty much from the start. I asked why the pilots opened the door when they were having all that stuff happening in the cabin. Very stupid.
I agree Marci. That guy is a little creepy.
I’ll try to not hate you Kath, but I think I remember the story behind it. I remember you said he was a very nice guy, right??? Next time, though, you have to make sure I get the hug from him!!!

fringe was AWESOME. Can't wait til next week! I haven't seen joshua jackson in anything since the dawson's creek finale, so that was nice. I thought Anna Torv was a great. Can't wait til next week!
It was fast paced and interesting. I called it somewhere else X-Files meets Altered States meets Conspiracy Theory. Excellent IMO. Posted by CinderAngelkc I love conpiracy theory. It was the first (of maybe 2 or 3) movies I didn't hate julia roberts in.
There was 1 thing I didn't like too much about the show and that is the name of the big bad corp, Massive Dynamics. Too me, it's too close to Global Dynamics on Eureka. Every time I heard them say that, I thought Eureka and they lost my attention for little parts.

You've got a good memory, Mannie. I doubt I'll ever get to see him again - but if I do, I'll FedEx the hug to you. Better yet, I'll just FedEx Josh to you.
As I said on Marci's blog - I liked it. It reminded me of Alias, which I also liked at first and then it became mustseetv for me. Hope this show does, too.

Massive Dynamics also brings to my mind Wolfram and Hart, the big bad corporate villain from Angel. Does anyone else remember that?

I'm glad you liked it Leah. I don't watch Eureka so I didn't think that.
That'll work for me Kath! Just poke holes in the box so he doesn't die during shipment!
I remember that Marci. I can see the association.

I really liked it. I had only planned on taping it, not watching it "live" but I got sucked in right away.
Gooey, bloody, melting people is definitely one way to my heart! *evil grin*
