I loved that blustery Rooster who always tormented that poor black and white dog. Their names escapes me.

Hi Rev,
In this cartoon the dog was Chopper and the duck Yakky. Be back, see if I can find Rooster.

Kris:

That's my favorite with Gossamer in it!

Deb:

Yakky Doodle was so cute.

Rev:

Foghorn Leghorn and The Barnyard Dawg.

My mother loves Miss Priss (or Prissy), the old maid hen that loves Foghorn!

Great topic, Kris. I love cartoons, mostly the ones I grew up on in the 1940's and '50's, and specifically Bugs Bunny. Below is my favorite Bugs cartoon, What's Opera, Doc, which according to Wikipedia, ... was voted #1 of the 50 Greatest Cartoons of all time by 1000 members of the animation field in 1994. It was a parody of Richard Wagner's series of four operas, The Ring of the Nibelung, which was based on Scandinavian mythology. One of the joys of this cartoon is hearing opera sung with Bugs's Bronx/Brooklyn accent. Hilarious!

Enjoy!

Hi Tana,
I loved Yakky. I loved his little voice.
I also liked Foghorn's little chick friend, the way Foghorn always called him son.

Thanks for the names Tana. My father and I would just laugh and laugh at his shenanigans.

My mother loves Miss Priss (or Prissy), the old maid hen that loves Foghorn!

I love her too, Tana, and all of those Foghorn cartoons.

How about the Foghorn Leghorn toon where he's trying to teach egghead (I can't remember if that's his name or not) and the kid keeps doing all this complicated stuff, and Foghorn can't do simple stuff!

I also like the chickenhawk!
